  • The site features a searchable database of more than 300 lesson plans submitted electronically by Virginia teachers who earn recertification points for approved plans. Educators may download the plans to assist them in teaching specific components of Virginia's Standards of Learning for particular school subjects.

  • The Web site highlights civics Standards of Learning for elementary, middle, and secondary teachers, and includes information, pictures, lesson plans, links, teacher resources, and a discussion board.  In addition, the Web site supports the legislative mandates of the Commission on Civics Education.
