Atomic structure: isotopes
The learner will be able to understand that an isotope is a type of atom that has a different number of neutrons than some other atoms of the same element. There are some radioactive ions, but not all of them are this way. The measurement of the length of time needed to decay a radioactive isotope is known as the half-life (CH 2c).
